whoa. this month was a wild one.
eric and i drove (and moved) across the country from houston to brooklyn.
we found an apartment (that fit all of our texas-sized furniture?!) in <4 days.
i completed my yoga teacher training certification.
i was part of my first public reading.
i hosted two release parties for love, loss and everything in between!
c3, my communications firm, signed two new clients.
oh, and eric’s birthday was my book’s release day!
i currently write this from the spare bedroom on my parent’s farm. truthfully, i am the most exhausted i’ve ever been but i am also the most proud of myself, too. the list of above felt like a daunting laundry list of things i needed to plan to do for so long, and i honestly can’t believe i did it.
what’s next for love, loss and everything in between: well, a lot!
i’ll be visiting stores in nyc over the next two weeks to sign books in-store.
i’ll be visiting michigan for a reading and signing (details to come).
i do ask if you’ve purchased my book, please leave me a review.
what’s next for yoga: i’m going to start taking private students in august and teaching at a senior citizen center. there is a lot of noise in the fitness space, and i don’t really want to add to it—my time there is done (see: former competitive triathlete!) i really want to focus my time and energy with students who 1) want specialized attention and 2) movement for life.
what’s next for c3: right now we have five incredible clients (which, wow we scaled quickly!). with the book launch behind me, i want to use the next six months to figure out how to make the work we’ve been doing more impactful for communities that need it most.
what’s next for me: i’m going to take the next month off of writing this newsletter and possibly seeing people??? i need to rest and reflect and get back to writing poetry. i have done none of those things in the last two months.
finally, i just want to say: thank you. thank you to everyone who reads this newsletter, those who have followed my journey in every form since 2010, to everyone who came to a reading or party, to anyone who bought a book, shared the book, or shared kind words about the book, to my parents, to eric who put our entire apartment together while i worked and got the book out the door. the list could go on. it means the world.
see you in two months,
nicole
p.s. did i mention… please leave me a review?!
